Asiatic Jasmine
Asiatic Jasmine (Trachelospermum asiaticum) is famous for its ground-covering capabilities and fragrant flowers. However, this plant is not related to the common jasmine.
This plant is native to Korean and Japanese lands. In the USA, it is hardy to zones 7b – 10. It grows and spreads quickly. It also requires very low maintenance. As a ground cover, it can grow up to 18 inches in height and spread about 3 feet in breadth.
Its fragrant flowers are star-shaped, yellow to white-colored. They look almost similar to jasmine. They almost stop blooming in very hot temperatures. In cold winters, these plants go dormant.
They form an excellent addition to the hanging type of gardens and baskets. You can find more information like characteristics, propagation, varieties, and uses, Here!
